Courtesy of Listener Susan...

Tim-

I just wanted to share these pictures with you so you could put them on your blog… These are pictures of me and my co-worker on Halloween from a few years ago dressed up as NKOTB fans! I am even wearing my official tour jacket! I’m the blond and my former co-worker is the brunette! I even pulled out my NKOTB stuff this week- pins, books, tour jacket, posters, shirts, trading cards and dolls! And I’ve convinced my 21 month old son to dance to them!

Um...ya...NTOKBlog

From Listener Sheila...

Hey Tim

I heard you earlier ask someone to send you a picture of their New Kids On The Block jacket..I wanted to forward some pictures of my recent birthday party. In March I turned 30 and had a New Kids On THe Block party. I replaced all of my kids' framed pictures with NKOTB pictures and I mounted my hot pink New Kids coat as the main centerpiece. Everyone loved it.

From the Kitchen of Chef Boyar-T

Ok ok I got these from www.newsnet5.com...Top 5 Kitchen Mistakes!

Kitchen Mistake No. 1: Loading up on produce. The longer fruits and vegetables sit in your fridge, the more they lose vital nutrients.

Kitchen mistake No. 2: Being an overzealous peeler. When you take the skin off your veggies, you're throwing away some potent cancer fighters. Protective chemicals called antioxidants help protect against cancer and they're found in the skin of fruits and veggies.

Kitchen mistake No. 3: Failing to give your garlic a time out. After mincing, chopping or crushing garlic, let it sit for 10 minutes before tossing into pan. When you break up garlic, a cancer-fighting compound called allyl sulfur begins to form, but it takes a little time for this enzyme reaction to be completed. So a few minute's wait is worth it.

Kitchen mistake No. 4: Forgetting to wash before you peel. Before you eat a banana - do you wash it? You should! Peel and eat fruit like bananas, cantaloupe and oranges can carry bacteria and chemical residues. Give them all a bath before peeling or cutting into them.

Kitchen mistake #5: Boiling vegetables. If you're still boiling your veggies - you're boiling away a lot of their nutritional value.

BBQ Rules

We are about to enter the BBQ season. Therefore it is important to refresh your memory on the etiquette of this sublime outdoor cooking activity. When a man volunteers to do the BBQ the following chain of events are put into motion:

Routine...

(1) The woman buys the food.
(2) The woman makes the salad, prepares the vegetables, and makes dessert.
(3) The woman prepares the meat for cooking, places it on a tray along with the necessary cooking utensils and sauces, and takes it to the man who is lounging beside the grill - beer in hand.
(4) The woman remains outside the compulsory three meter exclusion zone where the exuberance of testosterone and other manly bonding activities can take place without the interference of the woman.
Here comes the important part:

(5) THE MAN PLACES THE MEAT ON THE GRILL.

More routine...
(6) The woman goes inside to organize the plates and cutlery.
(7) The woman comes out to tell the man that the meat is looking great. He thanks her and asks if she will bring another beer while he flips the meat
Important again:

(8) THE MAN TAKES THE MEAT OFF THE GRILL AND HANDS IT TO THE WOMAN.

More routine...
(9) The woman prepares the plates, salad, bread, utensils, napkins, sauces, and brings them to the table.
(10) After eating, the woman clears the table and does the dishes.
And most important of all:
(11) Everyone PRAISES the MAN and THANKS HIM for his cooking efforts.

(12) The man asks the woman how she enjoyed 'her night off.' And, upon seeing her annoyed reaction, concludes that there's just no pleasing some women.

GO CAVS BABY!

Papa Johns Says Sorry for Being Stupid (in my opinion)

Papa John's Pizza has issued an apology to the Cleveland Cavaliers and fans for making T-shirts with LeBron James' number and the word "crybaby" under it.

To apologize, Papa John's will sell Cleveland residents a large, one-topping pizza for 23 cents on Thursday. The 23 pays homage to James' jersey number. The company also will donate $10,000 to the Cavaliers Youth Fund.

The pizza chain's T-shirts were featured during the Cavs' games against the Wizards on Friday in Washington. Wizards fans taunted the Cavs, who won the playoff series that night in game six.

The shirts started after James complained about hard fouls, and Wizards' center Brendan Haywood called him a crybaby.

The company now says it is wishing the Cavs and James luck.
